İtalya'nın kuzeybatısında ünlü kayak merkezi Courmayeur'da çığ düşmesi sonucu 2 kişi hayatını kaybetti. İtalya'nın Aosta Vadisi bölgesinde bulunan Courmayeur komünündeki kayak merkezinde pazar günü çığ meydana geldi. 3 kayakçı çığın altında kalırken, bölgeye kurtarma ekipleri sevk edildi. Kayakçılardan biri olay yerinde, diğeri hastaneye götürüldüğü sırada hayatını kaybetti. Diğer kayakçı ise yaralı olarak Torino'daki Le Molinette Hastanesi'ne kaldırıldı.
Milano'nun yaklaşık 200 kilometre kuzeybatısında yer alan Courmayeur, dünyaca ünlü bir kayak merkezi olarak biliniyor.
