Balıkesir'in Erdek ilçesinde kaybolan Elif Kumal'ın kaybolmadan aylar önce çekildiği ancak iddialara göre son görüntüleri olduğu belirtilen kayıtlar kamuoyuna yansıdı.
Edinilen bilgilere göre Elif Kumal, 27 Aralık günü kayboldu. Kendisinden haber alınamaması üzerine jandarma, AFAD ve arama kurtarma ekipleri tarafından bölgede geniş çaplı arama çalışmaları başlatıldı. Karadan, havadan ve su altından sürdürülen çalışmalar sonucunda, 4 Ocak günü Erdek Kapıdağ Yarımadası Yukarıyapıcı Göleti'nde aracının içerisinde cansız bedenine ulaşıldı.
